Daniel Afonin
Daniel is Taft Prep’s science specialist.
He works mainly with High School students and has seen great success in helping his students prepare for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. He is currently a medical school student at Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine and works with students in the evenings and on weekends.
Kidus Gebrekidan
Kidus is Taft Prep’s Higher Mathematics specialist.
He works mainly with High School students in preparation for Precalculus and Calculus. He is currently working at a top alternative asset management firm in NYC and works with students on weekends.
Michael Taft
Michael is Taft Prep’s founder and specializes in elementary and middle school students with ADD/ADHD.
Michael is specialized in Mathematics and English, although he also teaches History, Science, and Spanish. He volunteers his free time at the Child Mind Institute, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children struggling with learning disorders. He also tutors pro bono at The New York Center for Children, and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Applied Mathematics at Columbia University.
